Phone Contacts load just number not name........

Got a 2014 R Spec yesterday and linked my phone via Bluetooth and the phone works fine. Loading the contacts however just loads the Phone Numbers, No names at all.

I have an old Motorola Razr V3 Phone and this might be the problem. However, I had no problems loading the phonebook to my 2011 Genesis or my 2007 Lexus GS350.

Anyone know a solution for this?

When you go into your contact it only shows numbers?

It shows all my contacts but when receiving a call it doesn't show a name just the number. I got an iPhone 5s.

Idk if anyone else has this problem but my phone doesn't connected to the USB.

Yes, contacts only shows numbers not names. That's the problem.

Yes, have downloaded them about 10 times. Also re-copied my contacts on my phone to the sim card as well as the phone itself.

I may just have too old a phone for the new R Spec???

Phones don't connect to the USB.

However, if you want to know why your phone does not stream Bluetooth audio, the answer is that 2012 Tech Package models, including your R-Spec, do not have that feature.

Knew about the Bluetooth audio, but didn't know about the USB as people come in complaining about it all the times.

But yeah your phone may be the problem, try using someone else's phone

Getting back to my topic.

This would not be a big deal, except that I cannot manually load contacts on the 2014 R Spec like I could with my 2011 Genesis. On the 2014 the contacts must come from the Phone, you cannot manually add them!

Time for a new phone. The Razr V3 "died" circa 2007, and you can buy one for $2 now. ,-)

This is a typical non technical cretin response. If your computer has a problem, just "Go buy a new one at Best Buy".

I don't know why its not loading properly. But once loaded, the voice recognition is terrible. I tell it to call Dave Elliott and is says "Calling, Dave Budge" and dials the wrong number. This is just one example. There are many many more. It is really bad. So I don't bother anymore. I just use Siri on the iPhone. At least she tries......

The voice is also terrible on my 07 Lexus and 2011 Genesis. It's there for non-technical people for a few commands.

Some of us just use what works for us. I have a Consumer Cellular big-button old guy phone that gets used, on average, twice a year (in a car that's driven, on average, twice a week). For about $11 per month I have an emergency phone if I need it.

I remember back when we didn't have cell phones. Never gave it a thought to jump in the car and go 1/2 way across the country. Now if I hop in the car to run to the store I make sure I have my cell phone. Tough getting old
