  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

After reading through the threads here I decided to buy snows for my 2015 Gen 3.8. I live in NY. Come Spring I will buy a set of all weather or summer tires. I have a $150.00 credit that Mavis Tires owes me , otherwise I would buy elsewhere. They only have 3 options:
Bridgestone Blizzak
Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D
Pirelli Winter 240 Sottozero Series II
I'm not sure why they don't offer more options. Perhaps its the supply chain shortage.
Of those 3, which would you guys recommend?
Thanks!

Buy the cheapest. My experience is any winter tire is better than AS tires. Blizzak are the best known winter tire but I found them to be noisier than others. I've always went with a dedicated set (rims/tires) for both summer and winter seasons.

Funny you say that. I was going to ask if the cheapest snow tires would outperform the most expensive all weather tires.

A set of Michelin X-ICE SNOW just went on sale. $830 for the set

The cheapest I could find are the Federal Himalaya at $149.00 a tire.

Do snow tires last more than one season?

My experience is about 3 seasons before they become super loud or thin on the usable tread.
