  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Every time I use bluetooth on this system, when I leave the car and get back in I get blasted by XM Channel 1, then to turn it off, I have to press mode, then i get xm blasting through, then I press mode, then i get xm blasting through, then I press mode, then i get xm blasting through, then FM.

I have tried setting all XM channels to silent channel 0 but it never stays that way.

How can I turn off xm, please this is so annoying.

Car is a 2013, r Spec sedan, I have found direction for 2009 but this car is different?

Please...how do you get rid of this..?

Thanks..

I can't help but this occurred in my '13 this morning. I select Sirius and channel 1 appears. Channels can be changed with knob but goes back to channel 1 when I hit change button. Calling Sirius today.

Could be a few things:
Subscription ran out
No signal where you are
Radio needs a refresh
Head unit need repair/replace

Mine would not hold the information once the car was shut off so they replaced the head unit under warranty.

so when you are listening to Bluetooth and you turn off the car and exit, when you get back in the radio is in XM mode and you have to manually put it back into Bluetooth mode.

am I understanding this correctly?

I experience the same issue in my 2018 G80, when I exit the vehicle it seems to rest/default back to XM on the restart.. What I have noticed however is if you turn off the car with the door open (instead of turning off then opening the door), when you get back in, it will return to the last used source, in this case Bluetooth.

for some reason if you power the car off with the door open, RAP (retained accessory power) keeps the radio active, but the BT connection drops and flips the car into XM radio mode.

I have also noticed if you manually put the radio into FM mode (or AM) then when the source flips back, it flips to FM/AM radio not XM.

not sure if any of that helps, but this is my experience.
