  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Question..how did you acquire the wings badges. I thought the Genesis didn't get it's own badging until it spun off in 2014.
I've been told that some dealerships got them and applied them for certain customers. Were they diy?
I think that is it (bolded your sentence). Genesis I bought was "manager's special" (manager's wife was driving it), so it already had wings badges on the hood and trunk. Also, it is possible that V8 4.6L came with wings badges on hood and trunk (compare to 3.8 model).

I don't remember exactly, but I think I bought wheel caps with wings badges from eBay.

Steering wheel wings badge is just a sticker.

BTW, Hyundai spun off Genesis in 2017. 2009-2016 was officially Hyundai Genesis.

I purchased my 2014 Genesis with them already applied. There were others that didn’t have the wing badges.

Ohhh. I thought I mis spoke with the 2014 as the spinoff but had no idea it was that late.
My 3.8 only had the trunk badge. I've added the other in the five months I've owned it.Most recently the 18in.wheel cover badges.
LoL just recently had someone ask " is it a Hyundai or a Genesis?"
Got a quizzical look and an "ooohhhh kay" in response.

Mine came with the hood, steering wheel, all four wheel caps and the trunk. I’m sure I “paid” for it. Had the same deal three months after I bought it, a guy stopped in front of the car as I was getting in asked what kind of car is this. Oddly the wing badge resembles the Bentley badge, just a ton cheaper.

The 2015 had the flying H on the trunk, but the new wings everywhere else. First thing I did when I got it home from the dealer was to put the wing on the trunk. :)
