  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Actually, I think it looks pretty nice - but we'd have those pesky holes to patch. I guess we could just stick in some chewing gum or something, but my car is black and I don't think they make Black Jack gum anymore...

Reminds me a little (conceptually) of the customized cars from the '50s that I lusted after as a teenager with no money (Mercs, Fords, Chevys, etc.).

I customized several cars in the 50's and loved the look after all that cheesy chrome was gone.

Hyundai would never go for it as they have a strong marketing division (as they should). Logos and badges are very important to manufacturers.

I just wanted to share my taste which can be summed up as "less is more." And I wanted to see if anybody agrees.

OK - I've been wondering for over 50 years how other kids had enough bucks to own a car, put gas in it, pay for insurance, and customize it. I got my first car when I joined the Army after finishing high school - my parents were in no position to buy a car for me, or for any of my four brothers and sisters. I couldn't even conceive of the notion of parents buying cars for their kids - never happened to anybody I knew!

I think it looks nice and clean. That would be my second choice, before the flying H and after the Wimgs! It looks nice, good job.:D

on my current car, i paid $300 to have the holes filled and painted over. cleaner look and easier to wash. i have done the debadged look for my last three cars.

however, i think i might side with the wings emblem if i get the genesis. gives it a more polished and expensive look to it. the debadged look would be a a very close second and the H would be a distant third...

I like the Wings and will get them.:D

I think it looks to plain. I guess an alternative to the badge challenged installers , as some one mentioned just get some gum to fill the holes.

I like it and would do it but I dont want to deal with those wholes.

I started working at age 11, with a paper route. My next job was at a gas station and I purchased my first car when I was 15 years old. I rebuilt it and customized it and souped it up before I could legally drive it. My parents never contributed one cent to my cars, and I also paid for my college education.

I'm gonna keep my wings and debadge 'genesis' that way it keeps people guessing even more.

Vote for Wings. Oh, and you'll find Black Jack gum at Cracker Barrel.

I walked to school, uphill both ways.:D
