In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Problem - grease spot around front fenders

It has been 2 weeks since delivery. Just after driving only 130km, I've found grease spot on the left and right front fenders. No problem when it arrived. Fortunately it can be wiped away easily when I scrub it out with wet paper towel, but it appears again and again after driving.

Please take a look at the pictures attached and give any comments. What's wrong with my genie. It's 2015 Genesis 3.8 V6.

I've never seen anything like that before. Have you tried washing it and then waxing the area?

There's also a possibility that it could be cleaned off with some naphtha, then rinse and wax the area.

If nothing else, since your Genesis is so new, take it back to the dealer and ask the service manager about it to get it taken care of.

I suggest applying in the area an orange degreaser in a spray bottle . Then use an extra fine polish followed by waxing the area. Its an oily substance and many times normal washing will not remove an oily residue.

Don't do anything except take it to the dealer. Keep it in the dealer's lap until it is perfect, repaired, or replaced. Assuming that it was perfect when built, it could have been repainted at the Hyundai facility where it arrived. Damage does occur on the car boats from Korea.

Ditto ^... Don't touch it. Leave it on the car and drive directly to the dealer. Have you checked under the hood to see if you see any similar markings or grease?

the engine is a direct injected engine and what you are experiencing is soot.
This is a normal but irritating result of this type engine. All DI engines do this
some more then others. Best bet is to make sure you wax that area.
If you have a heavy area you can use window cleaner to cut the soot and just wipe dry.
You will also find that engine oil will also get dirty faster...not to worry

Interesting. So your Genesis has its exhaust pipes on top of the front fenders and your GDI soot collects there? Interesting.

Not my car...I didn't look at the attached pictures and assumed it was the rear of the car. Soot in this area (caused from exhaust) is a common problem.
I think with those area discoloring I would definitely take into the dealer. I would not clean that area so the dealer could see it..................

Hello HEESUB
Did you inform your dealer about the oil residue on your fenders ???
Curious about this problem.
