  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey everyone, so I've been going back and forth between the stinger gt1 and the G70 2.0 prestige I believe I will be leaning more towards the G70. Is it worth it to look into a tire and wheel contract? (leasing btw) I have been also looking to see if anyone is interested in helping with a Circle A plan

I'd not buy it myself, but others have come out ahead on it. If you live in an area with a lot of potholes and perhaps one of the drivers is not good at parking it may be OK.

hmm, good point. I may just add it just to be cautious.

My last car was a Volvo, purchased used at 22 months of 5 year warranty and original owner bought a transferable wheel/tire policy and had a tire replaced during ownership period. About a month after expiration of policy I bent a wheel. They are 600$ but my wheel shop put me on the road for 130$ repair. If the wheel replacement costs and your environment are compatible with damage then maybe.

Wow, that is really giving me something to think about. I have been thinking of all possible situations, and imo it seems like getting it is pretty much a convenience

Cost versus benefit. A few here mentioned having a wheel fixed for $100 to $150. A tire can be $200. A new wheel can easily be $600. How much is the insurance? You may even be able to negotiate the price.

If is is $50, sign me up. If it is $200, I'd pass based on my past experience of zero claims. YMMV
