  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Possible to voice command Sirius by name rather than by channel?

In my previous car (MBC-300 coupe) I was able to voice command Sirius by using the stations' name or call letters. I'd like to be able to do the same in my G70, but it seems that one must use the channel number. Is it possible to bring up a station using its name or call letters? I'm just not good at relating the stations' numbers to their names....

Your question is a bit confusing. You ask about Sirius and then mention call letters. SiriusXM is the satellite ratio service and has no call letter. Do you perhaps mean the AM/FM stations on the other bands of the radio? You can use station frequency numbers

Radio Plays the most recent radio channels from FM, AM, and SiriusXM™.
FM Plays FM radio.
FM <87.5 ~ 107.9> Tunes to FM <Frequency> according to what you say. Ex.) FM 87.5 : “FM eighty seven point five”
AM Plays AM radio.
AM <530 ~ 1710> Tunes to AM <Frequency> according to what you say. Ex.) AM 530 : “AM fi ve hundred thirty”
Preset <1–18> Tunes to your preset stations (FM/AM: 1 to 12, SiriusXM: 1 to 18).
SiriusXM™ Plays SiriusXM™ radio.
SiriusXM™ Channel <0~999> Tunes to SiriusXM™ Channel <Channel Number> according to what you say.
Ex.) SiriusXM™ Channel 23: SiriusXM™ Channel twenty three
e Channel <0~999> In SiriusXM™ Radio mode, tunes to the channel <Channel Number> that you say.

Sorry about the confusion. I would like to voice up the Sirius stations using the station name, i.e., instead of saying "SiriusXM channel 116" for CNN, I'd like to be able just to say something like "SiriusXM CNN" as it is more meaningful for me to remember station names rather than their channel numbers.

Doesn't appear to be possible, the user guide only shows the ability to use channel numbers.

Defiantly a programming issue, Hyundai apparently only choose to program number recognition and not letter recognition.
