Possibly new owner - 2012 Genesis Sedan 5.0 R Spec

I'm looking at 2 different 2012 5.0 R-Spec models. I'm not that familiar with this vehicle yet, been doing some reading. Are there any known issues with the 2012 5.0 R-Spec that I should be aware of? I read one article that discussed abnormal oil consumption on this model. I'm impressed with the power and the features of the car and the price is very nice. I'm just thinking there has to be something I'm missing. I can get one for about $13,000.

Out of warranty, the parts/issues are going to get expensive. Like every other car, as miles go up, problems will begin. I'm not too aware of 2012 5.0's so I'd say change the oil regularly and tend to issues promptly.

My last car was a 2012 R-Spec and it was fine. No oil issues. That was on the very first production models of that year with the problem being the type of piston rings used. Mine was a later year production model. Typical issues that can happen are stereo amp failure, backup camera failure, and turn signal stalk failure. Any one of these can be expensive to fix on your own, but hey - a $13000 price tag for a car of that calibre leaves some room for additional repairs.
