  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I recently had an alignment done on my car. Per the repair shop it is within Hyundai specs, but still pulls to the right significantly. The shop thinks it's tire pull, but all of the tires are fairly new and evenly worn...7,500 miles. Any ideas on this?

Hello and welcome!

Unfortunately, many on this forum report their cars pulling to the right even after an alignment. For some, it has become a long and expensive journey searching for a fix. Here is a recent thread as an example:

All your numbers can be within the specified range, but if they're all within the range in the proper way, you get a car that goes straight and true. My 2012 Genesis was a nightmare at first, but I finally found a shop that understood this and tweaked things (after a few test drives) to get a very comfortable setup.

Do the roads you usually drive on have a noticeable crown (raised center) in the middle? Most roads do to an extent.

That will make the car veer to the right, regardless of alignment.

It ended up being the steering wheel sensor. Driving straight now!

My worn Pirelli's were pulling to the right late in their life. Alignment numbers showed no reason to pull. One set of cheap Atlas and medium priced General's later... still pulling to right. Both of those sets were removed due to vibration issues and finally replaced with a set of P7's.

Car tracks straight now. Go figure. Will hold breath when rotating them for the first time...

One of the few reasons I would hold off on rotating the tires, lol. The veering really bothers me.

Please report back post-rotation.
