  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hit a pothole a bit ago and the only damage that I can see is the undercover right behind the right front wheel is damaged - pushed back and bent. It's going to have to be replaced. I have read on here that the 2017 part for this (I have a 2015) allows an oil change without removing the whole cover. My question is, Does this other cover fit perfectly? I think I read that some fastener holes don't line up etc.
I'm probably going to have the dealer do the work, hoping to avoid shipping charges if I bought the part alone. Not sure if they'll even swap it out with it being a different year/part. Thoughts?

I believe carguy has swapped his out. He might be able to help you out with your question. I am also curious about that. I would like to swap my15s cover.

Why not just remove the cover, it only makes the car slightly more aerodynamic

Yea, there was some issue with the mounting, but I think it was solvable. There are actually 2 covers. The front one has the access door for the filter. The rear cover has the access door for the drain plug. They are pricey though, about $600 retail/$400 online for the pair.

Here's the thread you need to look at - G80 under-body panels on a 2015 Genesis 5.0 for easier oil changes.

Reasons to have the cover:
Noise isolation
Underbody cleanliness
Slightly more aerodynamic ;)

Really, the first two though.
