  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Anyone know how we can get these on our cars here in North America? I believe the Korean versions of the GV70 get these lights as well. On paper it should be a quick install?

Looks cool. But not sure if legal or not.
There are all sorts of weird laws regarding lights on cars in the US.

Audi has a new type of headlight that switch lighting on roadways depending on traffic, etc. They're computer controlled and a bit more sophisticated than the current adaptive headlights and self adjusting headlights now in use, but they're not legal in the US. Audi Digital Matrix LED.

Oh I'm sure its illegal but no cop is going to notice that on our cars haha I really hope we can just swap these in!

HaHa. I guess that's a completely different argument then.

Speaking of projected reverse lights, I don't think you can install them yourself. First, you need to find the right lights for your car, which you're going to spend time on

Wish they were approved sooner than this past February so more cars would be allowed to use them.

All the German manufacturers have a version of the blanking light; Audi Matrix LED, BMW Laserlight, Mercedes Digital Light, VW IQ Light, etc. You could change a few settings with coding on Audi and VW vehicles and make the matrix lights functional here in the states.

Unfortunately for the US, the technology isn’t new and Audi has been using some iteration of it in Europe since 2013.

First, you need to find the right lights for your car, which you're going to spend time on. Then you need to find tutorials on YouTube, and it's not a fact that they will be correct, and you won't make it worse yourself... Therefore, I think that you should contact specialists. Well, buy an LED light because it is much easier to install. For example, I recently purchased LED headlights and LED tape (available here) and was able to install everything myself. However, I had no experience in this before.

I have a contact in Korea for the summer.
Can anyone find the part number for the reverse projection lights and their proper name in the Korean market please?
I want to buy these in Korea.
Also if any has the P/N for the baggage compartment side lights I want to buy 2 more to install.
Thanks

We need an update on this topic!

Literally just a part swap and it will work fine.

Wonder if AliExpress Temu etc has them or even fleabay.

Come on folks, let’s dig this up as it’s def a easy PnP swap out.
