  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My front proximity sensor stopped working after driving the car. When I start the car, I know is working as it makes sounds in the front, but it seems after few minutes driving, stops working by the time I arrive at work. (10 minute drive). This has let me to almost hit the front while parking.

anybody was the same issue? any quick fixes? it takes a month waiting right now with my dealership for appointment..

Stupid question, but do you have the switch on the center console on? It should have the amber LED on. And it only works when going less than 3 MPH or so. And when you start the car, they also sound as part of the systems check, I believe, but the switch must be on in order for them to work. The digital tach shows the symbols if you have something close enough to trigger the front sensors. And the back ones only work in R. Having said that, the car is supposed to remember when you have them on, but that's NOT the case all the time, for some reason. That might be exactly what's happening to you. When I don't hear them, I check the LED on the switch, and it's off, but once I turn the switch back on, system works perfectly. Hope that's it. Otherwise, there's a more nefarious problem with it. Good luck.
