  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Took delivery of a 5.0 in Casablanca White with Ivory interior on Friday. I took my 2013 Genesis 3.8 in for service last week and was completely blown away with the 2015. So far I am loving the car. The Genesis 2.0 (as my lovely wife is calling it) will be modified and I will be starting a build thread once things get started. Modifications planned so far are as follows:

De-badge front and rear & repaint to fill holes
Window Tint
Velgen 20' VMB5 Wheels
Nitto Invo tires
Front and rear drilled and slotted rotors
Coilovers

The car will be set up to have a more aggressive look suspension wise - it will not be slammed or stanced in any way. The goal for the build is a clean daily driver with subtle upgrades. Loving the car and very happy to make the jump from a 2013 to a 2015!

Pictures to come!

Congrats! That sounds like a nice color combo, didn't even know it was available. Looking forward to some before and after pics!

Congrats on the new car and the upcoming mods. Are you sure about the Ivory interior? Could it be beige instead? I didn't think White/Ivory was a possibility. If so you have the first White/Ivory on this forum.

you are correct, I have white on beige. my apologies.

I'm not that special !

Congrats!

Do tell me more about the mods.....I have a 2015 v8 as well (not the Ultimate) and would love to learn from you, especially...
Velgen 20' VMB5 Wheels
Nitto Invo tires
Front and rear drilled and slotted rotors
Coilovers

Thanks

Congratulations! Anxiously awaiting pictures. Especially after the mods are done...

Question. Why debadge? I know it's just my personal opinion but I kinda love that Genesis winged badge...

If you are ditching the stock wheels, please pm me as I would be interested in those or anyone here that has a set available. Shipping would be to 03304 in NH USA.

Me too on the wheels... Midnight may want them for winter tires... Me too. Except, If you are in U.S., easier logistics.. :)

Congrats on the new steed.

Thanks for the replies guys, I have de-badged most cars I have owned simply for a cleaner look. I am very proud of the Hyundai and I love seeing the look on peoples faces when I tell them what kind of car it is. About the Mods...

Velgen Wheels is a great company based in Florida, I have the their wheels on my 2012 Shelby GT500 and absolutely love the concave open spoke look.

Although I am searching for lowering springs it appears there are none currently available for our cars. My options are to leave the stock height alone or go with a fully customizable coilover set up from Ceika, a European based company.

I have always loved modifying cars that don't get much attention from the aftermarket, the Genesis has such good lines and is so well proportioned that I cant wait to see what she looks like after a few mods. The tint is being done on Thursday and I will start the build thread then with a few pictures!

The rotors will be custom made by Adams Rotors in California. I am doing with a drilled pattern I think instead of drilled and slotted.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Look up Garciafactory (in Korea) for custom suspension mods. They post on this forum from time to time.

Will do - Thanks for the reference. Custom coilover kits are very expensive to have built! I would much prefer a lowering spring that can be used with the oem struts.
