  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Question about ordering parts from "oem" parts websites

I put this in the exterior forum since it involves an exterior part (though it's also about ordering).

I need to replace an exterior part on my 2019 G70. I called the dealership to get pricing. As you may suspect, they want a piece of my soul for the part.

I looked online for the part and see a few "oem" type websites who carry the part for about $100 less.

Has anyone had success with the online "oem" sites? If so, what sites are worthwhile/reputable?

Thanks

I’ve been ordering parts for a different car through different oem/dealer sites. What is the website/name of the company? Shouldn’t be an issue though if it’s a legitimate site and you order the correct part.

I've used hyundaipartsdeal.com multiple times, even for massive parts like splash guards, and they have always been great.

There are several sites that have the part. Confirmed the part number with the dealership (front undercover I destroyed going down a dirt/gravel road heading to a winery).

Thanks. This is one of the sites that has the part listed. I appreciate your review.

No problem. The fact that they have interactive exploded view diagrams of the parts and each individual part listed was enough to make me trust them. I have ordered a few hundred worth of stuff from them.

I've ordered from several different ones. I don't think you could go wrong with any of the online microfiche seller. More of a problem would be making sure the part you want isn't discontinued. I've come across a lot of them that are. Dunno why. Maybe the supply chain issue just caused them to give up.

I've also bought directly from Korea via ebay. 3 sets of Mobis TPMS sensors, shift knobs, and many other genuine Genesis/Hyundai/Kia parts. Shipping used to be super fast, but I noticed clearing customs is taking longer these days. Still not a bad route to go.

I bought some OEM wiper blades from hyundaipartsdeal.com and while they are OEM and came in the correct Hyundai white & blue boxes, they smelled strongly of mold, which got sucked into the intakes. Car smelled like mold for 2 months. I tried cleaning them with bleach, vinegar, baked them in the sun, etc.. but it would not go away. Finally asked hyundaipartsdeal.com if I could return them (told them my story) and they said the parts are no longer as-shipped, so no.

Just inspect before use and you'll be fine.

I'm going to try that site. I only found one Genesis parts site before, and zero discount. Well, $0.01, if you can call it a discount. Ha ha. I bought the mud guards there (genesispartsandaccessories.com). It's in FL, so at least no tax if you live elsewhere.

Try this product called Nextzett Klima cleaner https://www.amazon.com/nextzett-96110515-Klima-Cleaner-Conditioner-Cleaner/dp/B0002Z2MKO and follow procedures on
(it is the same for any car, I just have seen his video and it is good).
