  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

About to purchase my first used Genesis sedan 4.6. Car only has 38K miles. Everything seems to work except cruise control. Is this a major issue? Anything else that I should be concerned about. Thank in advance for any help you may have.

Welcome. Just letting you know that I updated the title of this message and moved it out of the community lounge and into the first generation Genesis Sedan forum. To note, unlike on other forms of social media, people scroll through topic titles - not actual messages. So it's a good idea to use a descriptive topic/subject title so that people will click through and read your message...

In any event, what might the Genesis Sedan be replacing for you?

:welcome:

If it's 2011 or newer and the ABS light is not on (i.e. it's not a wheel speed sensor), then it may be a $3k+ fix for a radar unit.

Get a pre-purchase inspection from a dealer ($250?), and they can give you a written estimate on the fix. They can also pull any service history data they have from their system.

Good luck.
