  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

When I look for an update via the menu setting it prompts me to enter a USB stick. If the updates are OTA why don’t I get a message that ‘no updates are available’ or a similar message?

Same thing here, it's claiming it's OTA update, yet I had to manually update on my PC and copy almost 40GB (had to buy a new USB stick) only to update the navigation. I don't get where to OTA feature is supposed to play here.

You sure the 22 g70 is ota? Older ones weren't even when the 80 and 90 were.

According to the Genesis website, it does.
There are few options that are in the manual, but are not in the car. To pick one, the seats. Headrests and the waist size.

Did you see a way to put your car on your wifi? I doubt they would ever send it via the cell network

is that even possible? I don't think my car has wifi.

Don’t know about the 2021 or 2022 G70, but my 2021 G80 did an OTA update.

One week after I bought it, I drove downtown and parked. Message came up saying update will start when I shut car off. Said update would take 15 minutes and that car could not be started while updating. Touched OK, then left car while I went to a coffee shop. Returned to car an hour later, started car, and all was well. (Updated). BTW, my Buick updates the same way. Park in open area, engine off and can’t be restarted for 20 minutes until update finished.

New '22 G70 owner here. My car was "trying" to update OTA, but would never make it past 4%. I finally used the USB method. Perhaps if I waited a while it might have finished. We'll see on the next update...

How did it update OTA? did you have to trigger that manually?

No, it was automatic. I found the update area in the settings when I was exploring the interface. This was shortly after the Genesis Connected Services became activated for the first time.

How do we know what the proper firmware version is? I looked on Genesis site, but didn’t see it. I did do an update via usb, but wasn’t sure if it was latest and greatest.
