  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Good day all. First post here , glad to have this forum to help with my research.
As I prepare to take delivery of my new 2020 G70 3.3T Sport Adriatic Blue in Toronto, a question comes to mind re the blind spot system. I believe I've read and/or have seen videos describing the blind spot activation switch on the dash. My question is, do I need to interact with the switch to turn the system on?. In all of my other cars to date its been automatically on, unless I decide to disengage then I would press a button. Thinking out loud that if it is a press to engage system I may forget ,not activate and suffer the consequences potentially . And yes, I do check my mirrors and don't totally rely on the system, but with my "advancing years " Ill take all the assistance I can get ! Any thoughts/advice would be appreciated. Thanks

On my 2019 once switched on it stays on through ignition off/on cycles. If it is off it remains off through ignition cycles. I leave it on all the time and never touch the dash button.

And welcome. There are numerous Canadians and TO members here.

Once on it stays on until you shut it off.

Thanks very much folks, this is very helpful. I was hoping it was something like that, but until you have your mitts on something its hard to tell whats actually happening. Looking forward to discovering more about the car that wooed me away from a 3 series ! My BMW dealer, whom I had bought a number of vehicles from in the past, had no comeback to the value proposition with Genesis. He just looked at me and said, yup competitions amping up.
