  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

R-Spec on the way to dealership for repair.

Why should lowly Genesis drivers get Equus treatment? Why should Equus drivers have to rub elbows with the likes of you?

And that's my point. "WTF" do the demands for a different class of service/treatment end? How superior does someone get to feel for $40K? $55K?
I say let the BMW, Mercedes drivers feel superior if they need that. We should be appreciating the value of being in or near their class at a MUCH lower price point.
BTW, I loved my Genesis too.

Demands??? Lowly??? Rub Elbows???? Superior???:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Merry Christmas

  1. Their dealer service network needs to do a better job of servicing premium customers
  2. They need to move the Genesis sedan and Equus to their own brand altogether

Pick one.

Hyundai will probably do something in the line of the former when their premium lineup is expanded (divided showrooms, separate waiting rooms) altho there is still the possibility of no.2 further down the road.

Sonata? I'm not so worried about them, but Elantra??? That could be another matter altogether...

Hey, the Elantra's pretty decent these days, even the new Accent.

Note - many Mercedes owners have to rub elbow w/ Smart owners.

I would like to see Genesis owners get the same treatment as Equus owners.

Why should lowly Genesis drivers get Equus treatment? Why should Equus drivers have to rub elbows with the likes of you?

This is true.

Equus owners are paying for the privilege of the special treatment they get.

Note that the MSRP of the Equus is much closer to that of the LS460 than the MSRP of the Genesis to the GS or M.

If Genesis owners were willing to pay a higher price, I'm sure Hyundai would oblige (I can see Hyundai offering better, but not quite Equus level service as the price of the next gen Genesis goes up).

Update: So I send my wife to pick up the car today and turn in the ole santa fe...Well when she gets there the service writer tells her that his tech changed the PS pump and that the tech says he still hears the noise. The service writer then tells my wife that he does not hear it but go ahead and take the car that it is under warrenty and they are going to take care of us. Wife gets home tonight and I walk outside to check it and guess what? The noise is still there just like when I dropped it off. So after a week and a half of my new $48000 car being in the shop it is not repaired. Anyone have any advice??? :confused:That is strike 2...
