  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

For my 2013 Geni Coupe 2.0T Premium I have replaced the radiator ( not a Hyundai genuine part) but the new radiator didn't come with the lower hose connector, part # 25485B.

The part is a plastic elbow with a built in spring clip which I could not get off the old rad without breaking out the spring and I csnnot get the new part onto my new radiator.

Is a speacial tool required or is brute force necessaary? I would expect it to slip on with minimal force but it's proving to be a pig. I have tried compressing the spring with my fingers and by placing a worm gear hose clamp around it to compress the outer spring but to no avail.

Any tips would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
