  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Notice that on occasion the electronic system gets "stuck" and won't respond to the center dial. Can't even turn off the radio manually using the push button. I can make calls using the hands-free but can't hang up, nor can I change the radio stations, etc.

It usually gets unstuck after a few minutes, almost like it has to warm up or something. Anyone else having this issue?

I seem to recall having that happen one time, fairly early in my ownership of the car. It's never repeated itself. Since this is happening repeatedly for you, my recommendation would be to drive to the nearest dealership while the system is stuck to get it checked out.

Is this the Navigation head unit you're having an issue with, or the regular unit?

Fuzzynuke sent you to the right thread. If this often occurs after you use a voice command, the problem might be the amplifier in the trunk. Sounds completely illogical, doesn't it? But replacing the amplifier has cured these freeze ups for at least a few of us.

All the symptoms are present, including the release of the freeze after a few minutes and it can also be re-booted to temporarily cure it (turn the car off and back on) .

Thanks for the response, this is exactly the issue I was having. Will get it checked out.

Love the car, loved seeing it on "Monk" this season, love talking about it, love the looks that it gets.
