  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Has anyone else been experiencing a boot loop on a G70, yet? Mine just started a few days ago.

What I have seen, as soon as the infotainment comes up to the acknowledge/disclaimer the screen will go black, crash and then boot. It will do this continually.

I have removed the navi SD, the USB, Bluetooth, etc.

What I noticed is that if I am on the Radio (FM or XM) the boot loop continues. If I turn the AV off (Push the volume button) the boot loop stops. If I turn on the USB (Media) the boot loop stops.

I know on the 2017 Alfa Giulia I just got rid of this was caused by (we think) SiriusXM.

Anyone else seen this on a G70 or any other car?

maybe a battery disconnect for a few minutes..

I had something similar happen in my Lexus, the infotainment just kept rebooting, disconnected the negative battery terminal for 10 minutes and reconnected and never happened again.

So I don't think it's Sirius....tried the radio in my garage where I have 0 sat signal and still the book loop. Guess she's bound for the dealer.

Uvo display restarting itself

someone at the stinger forum is having the same issue. they found the fault was due to a specific radio station. Not sure if this applies to you but figured it couldnt hurt to draw your attention to it

Thanks for the lead. I'll run it down.

@joschneider That was the perfect lead in fact. All of those people are in Houston and so am I and I too listen to that station!

so how did you change it when it wouldnt boot?

What you could do, if you were fast, is hit the off button. Then the system would load in the AV off mode. You could then control things.

I just almost always listen to 94.5, the offending station, so as soon as I'd get control I'd put it back on that station.
