  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Rain Sensing Wiper Issue

I've had a couple of occasions when the windshield wiper in Auto mode went off in the absence of rain:

1) Apparently enough bugs hitting by the sensor can cause the wipers to sweep a few times.

2) If you're following close enough, a driver ahead of you may hit hit their washer switch. Some of the overspray can carry over enough to hit your windshield and cause the wipers to sweep.

In my there is little bite same issue. The manual mist, low and high settings work fine, but when the wipers are set to 'auto', the wipers never come on at all.
This is the problem with my Genesis. I took it to a Hyundai dealership and they sprayed the windshield with a water bottle until the wipers activated. But the auto wipers don't work in regular rain or snow.
