  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Driving on the highway yesterday suddenly felt a change in power and made my way to the exit. Engine was running rough and pulsing a bit. A few miles later made it home and pulled codes.

P0300, P0301, P0308, P0304
The 300 code is the Random/Multiple misfire code and then cyl 1, 8 and 4.

Reset the ECL.

Started the car a few hours later and it sounded better. Have not driven so can't say the issue is gone.

I have read some about an Oil Control Valve etc. These cylinders are on both sides so ruling out issues that are on one side only. Coil packs would not fail like this. What's the likelihood of the ECU? And if so, do ECU issues go away or would they persist (some ppl spoke about ECU having internal capacitor issues or something).

Thanks to everyone in advance for thinking about this!

Just read on another thread it may be the Catalytic converter. Could pull the upstream 02 sensor and scope the cat and see if you can see any issues. From what I read the it gets clogged up from excess fuel.

Yep thank you. I have read that as well. Plus the latest codes were all even (2,4,6,8) cylinders so I think I'll have to dig in there.
