  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Is it normal for the 14 speaker lexicon to have some rattle at certain basses? I have my bass about 3 bars to the right and my treble is all the way to the right. Brought it to my dealer and of course the one time i couldn't reproduce the rattle. I tried with shade up and down but both still do same rattle at certain songs.

I noticed it as well... and for me... the rattle comes from rear power sun shade. When its retracted down it rattles but when raised, it stops.

Yeah it's starting to bother me a lot :( kind of ruins it.

Hmm, after doing some testing I noticed that my front passenger door where the door armrest is to close the door seems to be rattling as if it's loose. It doesn't do it on driver door and only passenger, anyone else experience this?

Yeah... but mine is the driver's side, which is worse!

my glove compartment is rubbing or rattling as well. If I push on it and hold it, it stops. Or if I keep it open it does not rattle. These cars are too quiet for rattling!!

Hey guys but I'm driving mine for about 18 months and the way I understand it is .... THEY ALL RADDLE ! mine does and I wish that was the only flaw .... but mine has much bigger things wrong with it that the dealers can't fix. I was told DYNAMAT WAS GOOD TO FIX SOME OF THE RADDLING....If you want to spend the loot!!!!

I get it...but, When the car has only 1900 miles and less than 2 months old, I think people are more sensitive to issues being that they just purchased the car. I am still in the Honeymoon stage!! HAHA! A year or two down the road some wear is expected. Im just not there yet.

I don't know if the quiet ride of the Genesis is good for me or not. I have become obsessed with every little squeak and rattle. Unfortunately many of the rattles have been from stuff I keep in the car; tire pressure gauge in glove box, two flashlights in drivers door pocket, CD case and pens in center console... One rattle recently appeared in the trim panels covering the wires leading to the rear view mirror. A couple pieces of adhesive backed foam stopped the squeak where the two halves of trim meet but yesterday I noticed that it's also rubbing against the glass so time for another bit of foam. Turning up the audio volume so far has been quite effective at stopping me from going OCD about the little noises. :)
