Rear Cross-Traffic Alert image on Infotainment Screen

Hi Guys,

Did the Genesis ultimate have a yellow warning on the backup camera picture? I could have sworn that it would show you a warning based on which direction it detected a car coming in. It disappeared and the dealer is denying it ever existed.

Can anyone confirm or am I crazy?

Note: I'm not talking about the one that shows up on the instrument panel LCD, but if something shows up on the backup camera picture.

mine 2018 does yes. double yellow arrows in the corners of the screen (when in backup mode only) from the direction the vehicle/movement is coming.

Yes my 2016 does but it's hit or miss. Sometimes mine goes off when I'm backing out of my garage a good 30 feet from the street when a car passes. Other times when I'm at the end of my driveway waiting for a clearly visible car driving slowly down the street to pass nothing happens. I get the audio warning and flashing yellow arrows in the directing the car is coming when it does work.

I've tried testing it and am nearly 100% certain I'm not getting it anymore. Can you send some pics of it? It's frustrating the the dealer denies it.

Edit: Also, when you say its inconsistent, does RCTA fire when a car is driving slowing to pass and the icon is missing or do both not appear? My experience right now is even though the RCTA triggers, I get no icon on the backup camera display.

I noticed it in both the DIS and Infotainment screen, I will try and snap a picture tonight. I park in an area at work where the street traffic triggers it even though there is a sidewalk and 40 feet of parking lot between my car and the street.

Ever since I updated from 10.1 to 12.5 I lost the Infotainment warning arrows. I have them in the HUD now though. DIS hasn't changed.

Thats the alert on my 2015 Genesis 3.8 . Dont see anything on the Infotainment system - maybe it makes the yellow signs for People walking , and not cars coming.

the alert I got wasn't the person walking, it was a mini cooper in my blind spot

Thanks so much Mr. Incredible! Yeah I have the 9.2 display too.

That lil icon is EXACTLY what I recall seeing. Going to show dealer as they even said "newer models" don't have it. What a crapshow... If anyone hads a 2015-2017 model car (I think those are pre refresh) that can grab a pic, please do share. More ammo I have the better.

EDIT: Mr. Incredible, can you share your vin? Dealer's asking for that as a comparison, not sure why...

any updates on this? I am wondering the same thing as the OP. I have a 2015 ultimate with DIS and 9.2 screen. Could have sworn that my nav screen also showed arrows, but i only get them on my gauge cluster for RCTA. Nothing on my hud or nav....
