  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I agree, the errand must have broken it.

check the child safety lock and try to open it from the inside

Just bought my 2016 sedan ultimate 11/30/2020. Brought it home and figured out the rear driver side door wouldn't open. I'm no mechanic but I have some experience so I tried everything I could think of... i.e. child safety lock, fuses, resetting by switching off fuse panel for 10 mins to no avail. So back to the dealer I went. They took it in back thinking it would be something simple just as I did. Well after new rear window and whole new rear inside door panel and two weeks I was pimping a 4 door again instead of a 3 door.

So if its the same problem it is just something with the lock mechanism. Very simple when are able to remove the panel. However we cant because the door is stuck close :/ hence the rear window being cracked when someone used it as a pivot point to pry on it so don't do that. they ended up basically ripping the back panel off in pieces by breaking it. Replace the lock mechanism replace the panel ($2000) I did not have to pay but still. Of course the window and boom your good.

The only difference is I was not there when the door originally was last closed or the circumstances it occurred in. Hope that its something easier for you but this was my experience. Good luck!

Had same issue, it's the door handle mechanism. Mine was fixed under warranty. Rear passenger side.

If you have a door you can't get open, take the car and $20 bucks to the worst part of town and and find a small group of young boys. Say "I have $20 bucks if you can open this door with out hurting anything else." The door will be open before you can blink an eye.
Now, DON'T take any other money or any thing expensive with you.
