Rear lift gate??

Three months ownership and flawless.
Today rear lift gate (which works fine if button pushed) won’t open by proximity (standing behind car with fob). Any ideas??

Check your users manual under "Smart Liftgate" starting on page 5-69. Talks about Using the hands-free smart liftgate system by enabling it in the Settings menu in the infotainment system screen:

Setup Vehicle Settings → Door/Liftgate → Smart Liftgate.

Don't forget the car needs to be locked for the tailgate to work automatically.

Thanks - car locked and still not working. I checked and smart lift gate still enabled in setup menu

Do the other proximity systems, like the mirror unfold or door unlock handle buttons work with the Fobs? It seems each of these system may have their own separate detector and the lift gate sensor may be failed. The manual Pgs 5-4 to 5-7 gives the distance limitations.

I am having the same issue with the proximity trunk on 2017 Genesis G90. On the vehicle menu the SmartLift gate box is checked. Any thoughts?
