  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I got rear ended today :( and my rear parking sensor is flashing green and chirping even with the park assist turned off. Anyone have an idea? The damage to the bumper isn’t that bad so I would be surprised if the hardware is actually damaged.

Damage or shorted. I'm not surprised. The body shop/insurance should cover it.

I literally fixed my front parking sensor this morning and was so excited to have all of them working for the first time and then got hit! Funny how that works out.

sooo, the insurance had actually covered it? great news

Yes the insurance company covered it. Since this accident though I’ve had $6500 in other repairs including a new transmission. Hate this car lol. Selling ASAP.

It's good that your insurance has covered everything. And it's great that there was no serious accident. A friend of mine bumped with a cyclist who was driving fast through the parking lot. He even had to deal with the personal injury attorney los Angeles. Therefore, you need to repair the parking sensor. First you need to check the error code. Get the manual for your car, find that all the error codes that may appear on your car will be listed here. Connect the code reader to your car; then find the error code that appears and see what you need to do to fix it. You can solve the problem yourself, depending on what it is, but it's obviously always best to contact a mechanic if you don't know what steps to take.
