  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Okay, so I was unfortunately recently rear ended in my 2015 Genny. The main damage after the collision is just some scratches, and all of the sensors still work currently. I took it into a shop and the guy said that because the car has all of the rear sensors, they would need to be recalibrated after the bumper was put back on. He said that if the sensors are off for more than a certain amount of time, then the car "forgets" the sensors and the car has to be reset to accept the sensors again. This alone apparently costs like $700! So is that true? If the sensors are disconnected for more than a certain amount of time, does the car have to be reset to accept them again?
