If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi,
Is the rear view mirror tilt when shifting into reverse a selectable thing? Seems like I saw it on a menu at some point but can't find it now. It did it for a while but now it doesn't. Broken or just deselected somewhere?
Thanks in advance,
Bob

Chances are you bumped the switch.

R (Reverse) position, the side view
mirror(s) will rotate downwards to aid
with driving in reverse. The position
of the side view mirror switch (1)
determines whether or not the mirrors
will move:
Left/Right : When either the L (Left)
or R (Right) switch is
selected, both side view
mirrors will move.
Neutral : When neither switch is
selected, the side view mirrors
will not move.
The side view mirrors will automatically
revert to their original positions
if any of the following occur:
• The Engine Start/Stop button is
pressed to either the OFF position
or the ACC position.
• The shift lever is moved to any
position except R (Reverse).
• The remote control side view mirror
switch is not selected

Easy answer. Turn on the left or right mirror selection and leave it on (led lit): reverse tilit

Press the left or right mirror selection a second time to turn it off, no led: no reverse tilt.

FWIW most if not all vehicles with memory seats have reverse tilt, and most if not all work the same way to turn it on or off.

That is odd but I can live with it. Thanks a million, EdP and Mr. Incredible. I've never had so much tech to keep track of. My wife isn't impressed but all my guy friends are 🆒

When you move the shift lever to the R (Reverse) position, the outer side view mirror(s) will rotate downwards to aid with driving in reverse.
The position of the outer side view mirror switch (1) determines whether or not the mirrors will move:
Left/Right :
When either the L (Left) or R (Right) switch is selected, both outer side view mirrors will move.
Neutral :
When neither switch is selected, the outer side view mirrors will not move.
The outer side view mirrors will auto- matically revert to their original posi- tions if any of the following occur:
• The Engine Start/Stop button is pressed to either the OFF position or the ACC position.
• The shift lever is moved to any position except R (Reverse).
• The remote control outer side view mirror switch is not selected.

Thanks all. I was parallel parking for the first time today and didn't want to scrape the rims. Ended up about two feet from the curb, but I'm not proud :-)
