  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My nearest dealer is 90 miles away, otherwise I'd go and look, but does the touring 2013 model have one? I called two dealerships and neither salesman knew and they "will get back to me" as of five days ago. It is not mentioned on the Hyundai website. Thanks.

I am assuming the "touring" you mention is the base 3.8L without the Premium or Tech packages. Hyundai refers to it as "standard" on their site. If this is the case, a backup camera is not included in the standard trim.

I am NOT familiar with a 'touring model' but I believe you 'll find the rear view camera ONLY on the upgraded model. ( has to have the Nav screen )

Salesman didn't know what the car had - go to a different dealership!

I bought a brand new 'standard' 3.8 in mid-November and the relative lack of rear visibility took me by surprise. It's the only issue I'm having in adjusting/acclimating to the car.

This feature should have been standard on this car. Backing up is just terrible without it.

It will by law on the 2014 on all makes and models of all cars

Absolutely true. I'm in the Hollywood hills and have a home situation where I need to back up down my drive (with a bit of a turn) to do a Y-Turn for the final leg straight to the street. There's no visibility to the pavement behind. Side mirrors don't cut it, so for the first time in 17 years, I have to park in the street. At least for now. Talk about 'buzz kills.'

I'm only just a bit over 600 miles on the car; it's still very new, but I'll be looking into third party rear-view/rearview mirror add ons.

Well I should have said GRAND touring model I guess. Anyway, there is no rearview camera on any Coupe model which is really dumb. You can get it on the sedan (which I have had for 3years, about to turn in), the sonata and maybe other models. The coupe is the one model that could actually be of use.
I guess with the Nav package an aftermarket install might be fairly easy.
I've been checking the V6 mustang, Buick Verano, Subaru BRZ and they don't compare with the Hyundai.

If I were you I would move, thats to much damn trouble just to leave your house. Or you could get a helicopter which would be cool but, on second thought, not so great for shopping.
