  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Anyone come up with an idea for connecting a rear-view camera utilizing the Stock radio with Nav?? Seems crazy that other models with the same appearing head-unit have cameras but the Coupe doesn't!! Frankly it would cost them next to nothing and should be at least an option!

Help please!! Anyone??

go to www.hmaservice.com and register (free and you won't end up on mailing lists). From there, you can access factory service manuals for pretty much any Hyundai. Go to the body electrical section and look for your particular nav/stereo system. There will be a diagram of the rear panel... look for a camera port. If one exists, you probably can buy the wire harness and camera from one of the other cars (look at Santa Fe service manuals, Sonata, etc. to see which one uses the same nav/stereo unit) and add it yourself. There will also be a "variant" settings menu which is basically the on/off software switches to tell the nav/stereo system a) options installed on the car such as cameras, b) which country it was intended for, c) "region code" for a DVD player, etc. On some models (e.g. Tech package Genesis sedans) there is a way for owners to get into this menu; on other cars it requires using the dealer's service computer system.
