If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. I posted a thread a while ago about my parking brake indicator not working sometimes, and that the car would rock back and forth even with the parking brake engaged. Hopefully this recall will fix these minor annoyances.

I noticed in my when I put it in drive and take off it disengages the parking brake?? Unless that isn't supposed to happen.

This is a feature. I just recently came across it in the manual.

Does this affect Canadian vehicles too? Anyone know?

Mine sometimes doesn't hold very good and rolls back as if it weren't on tight sometimes on hills, never thought much of it. I haven't had any cases where the brake drags while rolling or anything and the indicator seems to work fine, so that's good.

I honestly wish they had put in a manual park brake, the electronic one seems like it's just asking to be a problem in the future.

So the PSB makes no sense, if the parking brake is to disengage when you start driving, how would it only disengage half way because of the parking brake light not being illuminated?

I've had a couple of instances where my parking brake hasn't disengaged when I put the car into Drive. I very quickly noticed it and disengaged the parking brake. I'm pretty sure the parking brake light was still lit, but not 100% certain.

My parking brake never disengages when in drive, maybe its an electronic brake feature? Unknowingly, I drove the car with the parking brake on and it started to shake/vibrate on the freeway. I took the car in to the dealer, they discovered the problem and replaced everything "under warranty" because the parking brake light was not illuminating. They never told me it was a recall though. 2015 Genesis with Signature package.
