Recalls on Genesis

Hey all!

I found a 2019 Prestige and Elite package 3.3T V6 RWD G70 for w/ 28k miles for $35k with some NHTSA recalls below. I found the recalls on a free vehicle report website and I am not sure if the recall on the LSD makes sense.

NHTSA RECALS: Service brakes, Hydraulics: Traction control and antilock , LSD control unit.

My only knowledge of is that ABS/antilock can short circuit and cause a fire while parked or driving. This is what Hyundai Motor is recalling.

Should these defects be replaced already by the dealer and would this recall affect the performance or longevity of the vehicle. Has anyone here made it to 100k miles on a G70 before? Would you say yah or nah on this buy?

Hey, welcome to the forum!

The dealer cannot sell you the vehicle without completing the recalls. It's a liability issue. I would ask the dealer about it though, just to be safe.

I don't think it would affect longevity. I'd actually say you're getting a used car with some brand new components, which is a plus.

I'm not sure about US pricing, but that seems a bit high for a car with 28k miles. Others can hopefully chime in on that front.
