If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Has anyone looked into getting a remote setup for the exhaust valves? I have seen the delete kits that are plugs but don't like the idea of having them open 100% of the time. I would much prefer the ability to open and close on demand. They have kits for other cars out there, i.e. Focus RS, Audi, BMW and others. Just curious if anyone has done something similar, and what worked for that matter.

Here is an option for the Focus RS( i believe they might even use the same valves). The problem is most kits only have 1 valve control when we have 2. Shoot I wouldn't even mind buying 2 kits if a single remote controlled both.

Or actually something like this that works with 2 vavles. Just found it.

Well I’ll update when this comes in. I have ordered the apr kit.

Why are there two remotes? Do you have to use both remotes to control both valves? Or can you just control them both with one remote?

It’s a spare for this kit. The one box has 2 connections for valves. So 1 remote will control both. Estimated shipping is the 14th of January. As soon as I get it installed I will update for everyone, that is pending it works.

Awesome thanks :)

Update #1

I have the kit in hand now from APR. I have not installed it yet as it’s pretty cold here. Maybe this weekend. From the pictures I’ve seen online and what I have read the connections all look the same. So as soon as I get a half hour of warmer dry weather I’ll get them plugged in and see what happens!! Crossing my fingers on this one.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Here is a still from someone’s video(probably here) that shows the connection after he unplugged his. Looks identical.

TEST #1 - Proof of concept

So it is way to cold to get all the way under the car and do thing the proper way. So I just tested with the drivers side valve and no wire management in the driveway. So I disconnected the valve and used the apr kit inline. Turned the car on and it fired right up and it closed the valve. Then used the remote to open and sure as hell it worked. So I had the drivers valve opened in comfort mode while the passenger(normal not run with kit) stayed closed! Closed the valve and switched to sport mode and it stayed closed. So with the kit it seems to override the full operation and leave it to the remote only. So now when I get it fully installed I will be able to drive in any mode I wish with the valves either open or closed. Eco with them open? Yep. Sport + with them closed? Yep. Now I just need to find the heat and time to install it fully and go for some drives!!!

TL;DR - Kit works, valves are controlled only via remote

Got it all installed in the freezing cold this afternoon. It works!! It’s a simple button press to open or close the valves. Install is incredibly easy. Took less than 30 minutes. I might try to get some video but the sound will not get picked up. Might just show the operation. Let me know if anyone wants more information!!
