folks,
had an interesting situation this evening. was at work till midnight and about 5 minutes before i was to leave, i tried to remote start the car. i was watching the car through the security camera, and noticed that the park lights blinked once and the car didn't start. a co-worker on her way into work came in and said "your car tried to start but didn't". so, i went out and hopped into the car, and pushed the start button. the car would try to start and then immediately die. it took me about 15 to 20 tries to actually get the car running!! it was cold out, about -10F. it almost acted like the engine was flooded. i'm wondering if the incomplete remote start somehow got the spark plugs wet and then they had a hard time sparking?? the night before i hopped in the car after it sat at the airport for 4 days and it started just fine...although again it was cold (around zero) and the engine did crank over longer than usual before it started. i'm wondering if the remote start has a time limit on how long it will let the engine crank before it gives up?? i'm guessing here folks. you guys got any ideas as to why i experienced what i did tnt?
