  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Has anyone put a remote start on their genesis? If so, how does it work? What brand are you using?

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
If you find a solution post it... Cars with keyless start are difficult to get remote start for in the aftermarket.

I hope you don't mind, but since this discussion has nothing to do with "Wheels, Tires, Detailing and Appearance Modifications", I'm going to move it out of this forum and into the proper spot...

Man i want one also , went to 3 different places but no one has the control module for the genesis (it isnt out yet) but they do have it for the nissan max (push button) 2009 , so go figure,

I will be getting Alarm and Remote Start Controller on Friday. It's a Compustar Pro P2W900. HP racing in Maryland told me they could do it then and all everything would be there to complete the job. I will update you when the work is completed.

Cool. Please include total costs for parts and installation. Just so we can have an idea as this probably will vary depending on location. Especially installation costs. Thanks in advance and good luck!

WOW I sure hope it works, It would be great to hit the remote start and get the car cool before having to get into a 140F (interior temp ) on one of these Arizona summer days.

Just received a phone call there is no bypass switch out for the Genesis yet. I guess I will be waiting with everyone else. What a bummer.

Viper alarm company makes a device with remote start for the Genesis per my viper dealer. It requires that a remote key be mounted in a special box, and wired so it activates the vehicle. Here are the issues:

1. You can only program two Gensis remotes, so you give up one key.
2. The ability to prevent you from accidentally locking the car with your other remote inside, is gone.
3. Hyundai says you will void the warranty
4. Hyundai does not manufacture any after market devices, so any added device will void the warranty.

I purchased a third remote, but now it is just sitting around as I am afraid to proceed.

If it all worked, I would have remote start, a better alarm, the ability to lower or close the windows remotely, BUT I would have to carry two good sized remotes, one for the alarm and one that came with the car.

Well i dont know about voiding My warranty just for a remote starter but im dying to get my car done b4 winter arrives but i'll wait & see if hyundai comes out with one, it may be more but worth the wait

hmorse" If it all worked, I would have remote start, a better alarm, the ability to lower or close the windows remotely, BUT I would have to carry two good sized remotes, one for the alarm and one that came with the car. "

I have a car remote, on a strap tied to my cell phone, as i never push it's buttons having a remot that I do use the buttons would not be a problem.

Were you going to install it yourself? Do you want to sell it? What is it's model number?
