Replaced Shifter Knob

How did you do it?
 
I used very thin piece of very hard plastic under the left side and lifted up with moderate force. Worked it from left to right and it just lifts off. There are two retentioners on the right side but they’re designed to release. Then you just place the new one in its place with a *snap*
