  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

If the entire front passenger seat has been replaced with a used one, do you have to reprogram airbags or anything afterwards? Or is it as simple as screwing in the seat and being good to go.

can't speak for Hyundai, but I know with Lexus, GM, FCA, Honda and Toyota, the computer modules that handle the passenger airbag and weight sensor systems are VIN coded. So you typically either have to have the module recoded to your VIN, or move your original to the new seat.

With Lexus/Toyota/FCA they are one shot deals, can only be programmed once, so you have to get a new module if you can't move yours.

you disconnect the battery before removing the seats you usually don't have an issue with the weight sensors needing to be recalibrated, but some vehicles I have worked on and done a seat swap or reupholster, I have had to take them to the dealer to have the weight sensors recalibrated, regardless of disconnecting the battery first.
