I googled the title of your post and found a boat load of links. Give it a try and I hope you can get it changed. These are the kind of anoying things that sometimes take a lot more effort that it should.

I cracked the code to reset the 4 digit code for the Genesis Connected Service. The program gives to a set number of attempts to remote start the car. After that number is exhausted it then asks if you want to reset.

There's the answer, use up the attempts, then when you're locked out, you can reset.
