  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi all! I'm new to the forum, but joined because I love my G70 3.3t Sport (black on black) and wanted to be around others that love their G70 just as much as me. I recently purchased it with about 11,250 miles on it and it has been a dream to drive. I have just over 12,500 miles on the car now.
That said, I have been noticing while accelerating at around 25-35 mph, the car becomes a bit jerky and almost feels like I am on a bumpy road but the road is completely smooth. This is most noticeable when riding on residential roads and accelerating at a normal pace. When I give it the beans, I do not feel it at all. It is just when accelerating at a normal pace. I also don't feel it when at higher or lower speeds.
Has anyone else experienced this them self or heard of others experiencing this? Should I get my transmission flushed?

Mine is only 600 miles and I know exactly what you described.
I concur too that it is most pronounce at 20-30 mph as you stated. A minor pulsating sensation is what I can describe.
Nothing nuisance about it but I was debating whether the sport suspension is doing its thing?

Exactly. Nothing nauseating just a little bit of a stutter, pulsating sensation. I'm usually driving around that pace since I drive around the city a lot.

Why not try different drive modes and see it stays the same.

I have tried sport mode and it is less noticeable, but I would prefer not to always have to put it in sport mode everytime I start the car. I would like it to be smooth in comfort mode and sport can be much more bumpy.

Does it go away when the car warms up? Just wondering if it's similar to the flutter issue that G80's have.

Anyone brought this up with their dealer?

It is a bit less noticeable when the car warms up, but I still notice it some.

I didn't realize the G80 has something similar. Is it normal or is there something that can be fixed?

It may be different from the 2015-16 Genesis which was just a sound and not a bumpy ride. That was due to a faulty propeller shaft.

Cold engine in coupling with Sport mode making it more pronounce I think?
I need to experiment at several variations to see there is a pattern.

The jury is still out on this, but latest testing by member "arcman" shows that the vibration is from the flex joint on the driveshaft. Apparantly it hardens up when cooling, and when driven, it doesn't flex back all the way causing vibration. Great thread on it here. Read post #1 and #6, among others.
