  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The passenger side combination lamp on my 2015 Ultimate has went out, none of the LEDs light up. I removed the trunk lid liner and checked the connection and did not see anything wrong. The wiring is identical for both sides so I removed the lamp assembly and tested using the working wiring and everything lights up correctly. Checked all fuses and they were fine, appears the BULamp fuse is for both lamps. I went through the service manual and could not find anything more than removal instructions. Does anyone have a wiring schematic or know of another harness or fuse for these lamps? I have not pulled the trunk apart get to check wiring.

Thanks,

Steve

Was able to get out and pull the trunk apart yesterday and found the issue. During open/close, the electrical tape had been work away and the ground wire for the lamp was cut. Crimped back together with a barrel splice, wrapped the exposed length in split loom to protect it, and it works normally now. Somewhere in that wire harness the backup camera has a loose connection and cuts out occasionally. Unfortunately, the care is just out of warranty and I'm having trouble finding where the break is as there are no other severed wires.
