  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I installed them myself there is a great write up on how to do it. Reccomend an alignment 9nce you've got it done

I just looked it up on Youtube and it now makes sense as for what i read about these 2-3 years ago:

.

I am not sure if I can do this in my garage....I have a lot of tools and do a lot of my own work on my cars but not sure if I can do this.

It can be done very easily in a garage on ramps, I did mine this past Wed. and only needed a floor jack for the rear end, rear mounts (mostly because the rubber decompresses so far that it is difficult to get the collar, washer and nut back on).
You will need a 19mm standard and deep-well socket on a 1/2" ratchet, a 14mm deep-well (on an air ratchet if available), a 10mm on a small screw gun (for the splash panels), a small Philips screwdriver (for the push in/screw out plastic clips), a medium pry-bar (just short enough to fit under the car vertically) and a 1/2" drive torque wrench. If none of the holes need prying to align them this can be done in a couple hours by one person.
I would also recommend using a small amount of anti-seize on the base of the bolt (not the threads) where the collar sits, as it is a dissimilar metal and will likely gal in place making it difficult to remove if ever the need arose.
Additionally, I removed the steel washer from the middle front (short) bolts (must be forced off, a vise to hold the washer helps) as it appeared to me that with the collar and the washer there was too little thread engagement in the hole and I feared it would strip out when I went to torque it down.
In regards to torque, the shop service manual shows 110 to 115 lbs-ft. I opted to go with 120 lbs-ft (partly to account for the cheap torque wrench I have (+/-4%(n)), as well as re-tightening previously torqued bolts) and used a two step torque procedure. I started with 60 lbs-ft, tightened all of them, and then went up to 120 lbs-ft tightening in a crisscross pattern.

I used the instructions here: Rigid Collars installation
as far as the location for each collar & where each bolt is located.

Hope this helps.

Floor jack, 2 ramps, and 2 jack stands is all I used. pretty sure 19mm and 21mm were my special friends.. As I mentioned before there is a great write up on it that someone did with pictures that is very thorough.

UNIQ performance makes a great set. Dont cheap out on something holding your subframe components together. Results were hard to tell noticeably but the vehicle does seem to feel sturdier when hitting bumps than before the collars.
