Rocker cover removal.

I am looking for help in getting the rocker cover (side seal garnish?) off to get at the lower two screws for the front fender. There is no way that I can see to get the fender off without removing those lower screws and the problem is getting the rocker cover off without breaking everything. I have removed the front and back mounting screws and the rocker cover seems to move a bit but it will not release from the frame even after I tap it firmly with a rubber mallet. I am missing something. The local Hyundai dealers were no help at all.

It seems that the rocker cover(side sill) is held with screws on the ends and plastic retainer clips along the body. Therefore, I believe that you must removed the screws and then use a panel removal tool to pry the clips free to remove the rocker cover.

Wrong… the skirt can be hit towards the rear of the vehicle to slide off of retaining brackets after the lower white clips have been released using trim tool. Lower clips will likely break
