Bump
PPP I like your way of thinking

I have been thinking all winter about what I want to do with my exhaust (if anything) this Spring. I have MagnaFlow mufflers and MSA tips on my car, which I have a thread with video's long ago.
I love my exhaust especially since the Genesis is not my daily driver, and store in winter, but if I can rid the drone, that's just a bonus. So I was on Dynomax website for the VT muffler (Valve Technology) looking at the size specs.
The site lists the cross reference to the equivalant MagnaFlow muffler.
Dynomax VT - Part number 17155 (2.25 inlet/outlet) for anything over 4.0L with dual exhaust (true dual)
Inlet/Outlet Size 2.5in./2.5in
4.5" thick
9.75" wide
14" long
19" total length including inlet/outlet
MagnaFlow - Part number 11226
Body Shape: 4in.x9in. Oval
Inlet/Outlet Size: 2.5in./2.5in.
Body Length: 14in.
Overall Length: 20in.
Core Size: 2.5in.
Position: Center/Offset
These mufflers listed above are vey similar in dimensions. I will get under my car this weekend and measure the MagnaFlow mufflers that I had put on. Pretty much any muffler on the Genesis (V8) will have to be slanted a bit in order to fit. The OEM mufflers were the same way, and so are my MagnaFlows'. I have no idea which mufflers I ordered..been so long. If my mufflers are about the same size or bigger then the VT's I think I know my next decision.
I was going to order up the MagnaFlow catback system this Spring, but if these VT's will fit, I may go this route instead, but it sure would be nice to have the clean look of a catback vs. the hacked look of cut/welded-in-place mufflers/tips

Should I really care about this??
Have you looked into this further for your R Spec?
EDIT - I have confirmed that my MagnaFlow mufflers on my car are part number 11226 mentioned above. The Dynomax VT's should fit and Amazon has the VT's for $180 with free 2 day shipping (Prime member) for 2 mufflers. I'm going to order up these bad boys and report back in the Spring when I get them on. Looking forward to it
