  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

After getting my Rspec yesterday, I took quick inventory of what is new compared to my 2011 4.6 tech pkg:

2012 Rspec
8sp tranny
Sport suspension
19" rims/tires
Folding power mirrors
Lane departure warning (wih laser cruise, you can almost not drive at all:))
Color LCD info screen with new graphics & updated chimes/sounds
rear heated seats with buttons in center fold down console
Headlights and LED's = super sweet
tail lights with LED's
Enclosed exhaust tips
Greater travel for steering wheel tllt up and away - this is a nice needed touch
No wood on my steering wheel?????
ECO light on my dash???= what is this?

We don't have a selector switch do we for suspension or sport mode right? Manual is confusing on this and the ECO light has me thinking.

KDM units have adjustable air suspension, so the owner's manual may be confusing on the issue of suspension adjustments.

The wood steering wheels are really just plastic wood-grained. I would think that leather has better grip for a sport sedan.

Eco light means you are driving in an economical manner (not lead-foot), which admittedly may be a bit ridiculous for someone who would purchase an R-Spec, but I assume it is installed on all 2012 Genesis models.

Thanks Mark.

I can assure you my ECO is on only b/c of me being responsible during break-in miles. ;)

Yes, all leather steering wheel is more sporty and softer on your teeth if impact, but the wood was always that nice splash of class...even if it was plastic....it was a rich plastic.

It appears that your list shortens from 14 items to 4 when compared to the 2012 4.6.
5 if you add the 5.0 v 4.6.

Yup!:)

Right on the money!

But if money was no object, I'd go with these:

FYI... that right there is at least $1,450.00 USD plus shipping.

I got the steering wheel center cove with badge! Would love the carbon trims.
