  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just got back from a business trip away from my Genesis. When I access the Satellite channel listing, I have only two channels: Radio ID and the preview channel. However, I am able to surf to all subscribed channels. Is there any way to cause the full channel listing to come back?

Funny, the same thing happened to me today. It was working fine in the am, but when I got in the car in the afternoon it operated as the OP described above. Sooooo, I called XM and got a message saying they were having a system problem. I'll wait till tomorrow to let them solve the problem. No sense waiting on hold.

Update:

Decided to call tonight. Called 855-697-3373 for a refresh/reset of the signal. Gave my XM ID to an automated voice. Had service back in 5 minutes. First time in 18 months ownership that I needed a refresh.

TexRed - which radio/XM system do you have - Tech package, Premium, etc? The Tech package includes a user menu to select channel categories. Mine sometimes clears all check marks for some reason; when that happens the menu page that lists the various XM channels by name ends up empty... but when the basic XM tuner page (with the graphic of the DIS knob) is on screen the DIS knob will still scroll through and tune all stations just fine.

When the category check mark list is blank, the voice recognition for XM also dies. I can't say "XM channel Classic Rewind" for example and get the system to tune that channel; instead the voice system selects XM (switches from FM, AM, USB, etc) but ends up on channel 0.

My XM pre-selects (memories) so far have never spontaneously erased themselves fortunately.
