  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

For those that have a Coupe do you ever regret your decision or are you satisfied with the car? I'm ready and able to get a 2.0T Premium Auto but the lack of quality and reliability information due to this being a new line of cars makes me somewhat uncertain. I haven't read about too many 'big' issues but I have seen some people talking about issues with the AC, rev hanging, proximity key/start reliability and things like bumper alignment or window seals (the last of which is an issue I noticed with the car I would buy and I would have them fix it before I buy it). So is it mostly minor or occasional issues or are these or other issues fairly common and simply accepted as a minor hassle involved with owning a cool new model car?

I'd be looking at about $25k (Invoice - $300 + $750 + TL) before tax which is like 8% here so it ends up being around $27000. That doesn't seem bad but it doesn't seem that great either, and because I don't like the look of the car without fog lights I'd have to pay even more to add those back in (and they might not even work depending on the wiring situation).

I would really appreciate any comments or advice you have. Thanks.

FYI - If $750 is the destination charge, it should be included in the invoice price. Never let them tack it on afterwards!

Do you think it's a fair price though, or too high?

According to Edmunds the invoice is $24,220 + mats/cable + $750 destination for a total of $25,070. We would be paying just over $25,000 for all of that including title and registration. The only money left to add on is the tax which unfortunately is expensive here and adds about $2000 bringing the total OTD cost to just over $27,000.

In the pricing thread most people are unclear about what exactly is included with their price so I'm not sure if this is a good deal or not.

I got mine for roughly $700-800 over invoice AFTER the 5% sales tax. You can see my purchase details in the thread you referenced.

How many dealers have you got quotes from? Get your quotes online if possible. Always counter offer, with a target price in mind. For example, if they offered 25000 right off the bat, and you want to end up at 24500, counter with 24000. They should come back with a counter-counter somewhere in the middle.

I worked with 4 dealerships online for my purchase. I was actually TRYING to work with 6, but two never responded to my emails.

Edmunds does have the "True Market Value" for the car which is $25,737 including the options and $750 destination charge and all of that stuff. Our pre-TTL cost is around $24,700 but TTL adds $2200-2400 which brings the price up around $27,000 so...

I actually wrote down your price info the other day (and parksters today) because it seemed much better than the average. Your invoice price (including destination and options) is $675 above ours but your total OTD cost is like $645 below ours. Even taking into account the $750 tax difference you're only paying $100 more for a car that invoices at nearly $700 more. This is why I have doubts that the price I'm getting is very good and I think I'm going to make my dealer give me a little more off before I buy the car.
