From dealing with my mirror caps I hate to tell you this but dealerships will not swap small parts. They will only sell you the whole assembly.
Is there an easy way to remove part 87616/87626? I saw some carbon fiber caps for the G70.Geez, always thinking us dealers are out to rip people off. You can get it separate if it's part of 87616/87626 I'll have to go look at a G70 on the lot later and see.

If it's anything like the Sonata's, it's a big pain. And you have to be very careful not to break it if you plan on keeping it.Is there an easy way to remove part 87616/87626? I saw some carbon fiber caps for the G70.

I feel your pain man... Maybe consider using a vinyl wrap matching the color instead of replacing the mirror. I have seen so many colors that you may just find the color that matches. It's worth a try!Anyone know if this piece of trim can be replaced. Its night time now dont have a good picture

It looks a bit complicated to remove and not knowing how many fasteners it has just makes it worse...If it's anything like the Sonata's, it's a big pain. And you have to be very careful not to break it if you plan on keeping it.
After looking at a car, and the cad drawings of that piece, I'm thinking the chrome is not separate. You're going to have to buy the mirror. Plus, the cap only has 1 part #. If it was part of that cap, it would have 2 part numbers. 1 for chrome, and 1 for dark chrome.

You can go see my post on that. It's a pain in the ass. There is a work around that requires cutting into the plastic and CF caps. But even then still have to disassemble the entire thing. It looks a bit complicated to remove and not knowing how many fasteners it has just makes it worse...
Just read your post! The CF caps look awesome on your car. I wish I lived a bit closer to central NJ to take my car to the same shop. I live about two hours away in northern NJ.You can go see my post on that. It's a pain in the ass. There is a work around that requires cutting into the plastic and CF caps. Well if you're ever planning to get them done do try and schedule way early. Shop was quite busy I had almost 1 month of wait time.Just read your post! The CF caps look awesome on your car.
